What is safe?

This recent article, B'lore safest city for working women in CNN-IBN raised few question in my mind. What they mean safest place to work? They just did the survey with women how they feel the security in their working place, is it enough to declare that particular place is safest for working women? Then what do you call the harassment (physically & mentally) faced by them out of workplace.

Bangalore has recently witnessed couple of cold-blooded murder against workingwomen, one was a call center employee Prathibha killed by her Cab driver and another a BPO employee Tanya Banerjee killed by her colleague. Still I wonder in what criteria did this survey just declared safety of working women is better in particular cities. In my view they should consider all other facts which women face in their daily life.

Last word, there is nothing safe here. Your safety in your hand!

A different Kind!

I saw this article, Will you help her lose her virginity? on CNN-IBN website. It's a quite interesting one and I was amazed the way media reacted in this issue.

Being virginity in the age of 30 in US glitters everyone eyes around the world. I really give her a standing ovation for this achievement. I remember of reading a survey article sometime back, in that 15 to 18 mentioned as average age of US girls losing their virginity. Comparing to this I believe this lady is definitely a different kind of personality.

And other way, I was thinking about our country. Here it shouldn't be top headlines or big buzz like the western countries. Now I realize the value of our culture, tradition and ethics. Even though there is few incident here and there, still we strictly follow our moral principle and that's the one drives our country.
