What we should wear?

The Anna University recent ban on using mobile phones on college campus and prescribed dress code for the students raised huge resistance among the students. Even some of self help groups; social activities and women's organization join their hands with students. And bunch of students taking this issue to the court. This became hot headlines in the media.

There is mixed reaction about this issue from the students and college administration, where the students feels that their freedom has gone and college administration stands their ground saying certain outfits detract from the seriousness of academic pursuits. Some students rising question, "If we are eligible to elect the Prime minister, why can't we choose what we should wear?"

In my view, in this current generation even parents loosing their grip on the children, then how can an academic administrator control them? I may accept using mobile in the classrooms must stay, but Anna University may rethink about dress code. Let the students get their rights; After all Anna University is not located in Afghanistan!
