New Year Sale!
My friend and me happen to visit one of this show room to buy a DVD player, and I scanned through some of the products. I was mobbed by the product representatives to buy their product. Each one explaining features of their products and how it best from their competitors. Finally I convinced to buy LG DVD, which I thought is best among others. When I went to get some inputs about this product from showroom Manager (because he knows which is the fast moving product) he diverted me to SONY DVD which is definitely the best, but pretty expensive. I need to think again, choice between average one that will suit for me and a best one that surely eat my wallet (the thinking ate an hour).
Finally we went for the average one and asked about the discounts, they asked us the mode of payment (cash, credit card or Loan, for each type you have different MRP). We said we use the credit card and their calculation for the bill was a shocking one. The amount is different from the previous one (for a hot cash) and their explanation about this difference wasn't convenience one. They claims that they have included the transaction fee which the bankers charge them. Then why they advertise zero percent service charges while using the credit cards?
We got the answer! Basically this entire show room people do the trick here. They raise the MRP rate from the actual one and come out with fancy advertisement of discounts and no service charge on credit cards. People who deceived by this go for buying expensive the products. Which they don't realize that they are paying the actual price and they are the scapegoats. Even I came to know that all this New Year products are purchased well before the price went up. It's still worst for the people who buy these products on Loan. They end up paying more than the actual price.
So there is nothing you are going to save on buying home appliances on a Festival day. It became a latest tradition to buy something on Festival days. Everyone falls by seeing fancy advertisement by the manufacturers. Think a lot before you do something!!!
